Markov Music
We have been writing music together for many years having performed and recorded with a range of musicians too numerous to mention.
Our ability to work across a diverse range of genres keeps us enjoying this amazing, exciting and, at times, painful creativity with passion and addiction.
From live to studio, Songs, Soundscapes, film and Radio Jingles. We at Markov Music want to write, have to write, and love every minute.
We live in Northampton, UK, and have been great friends for many years. We initially met when we both joined a new band, probably around 1981 when we formed ‘Georgi Markov’s Empire‘, (circa Soft Cell) wrote many songs and had a strong following; with live performances throughout the UK.
We also worked with Howard Stableford and created jingles and ‘music beds’ for the BBC. We then merged with another local band, ‘Nation 3‘, to form ‘Ten Towers‘. In Ten Towers we again ‘gigged’ all over the UK and appeared on ITV.
We have also worked with filmakers; Section2films and Robert Valentine Films. We must take the opportunity to thank Nigel Girling who played guitar on several of the songs on our first album, Chains. Nigel has worked with a range of musicians including David Bowie, keep an ear out for more of Nigel’s magic on forthcoming tracks.
Together we are able to provide a diverse range of music for Television, Film and Radio and relish the opportunity of working with production companies
to create bespoke soundscapes and music.
